Abstract. This article examines a hoard discovered in 1893 near the village of Terekhovo in Tobolsk Governorate. The purpose of the article is to describe the assemblage, determine its upper dating, study the features and state of preservation of the items, and examine hypotheses linking it to the of Western Siberia.
Research materials. The work is based on the study of a hoard consisting of two ladles with handles shaped like a dragon protome, two bowls with plant ornaments, two silver ingots, seven coins, and its analogies.
Scientific Novelty and Research Results. For the first time, a comprehensive description of the assemblage has been provided, and its upper dating has been determined. The treasure closes the gap between the latest monuments of the Ust-Ishim culture and the complexes of the Siberian Khanate of the second half of the 16th century.
The artistic features and state of preservation of two ladles and two bowls are examined. The objects are virtually identical, but some small details suggest they were made in the same workshop by different artisans. The objects were used in everyday life. The incised saums indicate the owner’s connections to coin minting centers. The coins in the hoard were in circulation, so its date may be the late 14th century. It is worth noting that in the area where such objects were primarily found, they were found primarily in wealthy burials. The hoard could have been buried during the conflict between Khan Tokhtamysh and Timur, or during the campaign of Sheikh Baghauddin.
