The journal is mainly aimed at coordinating and promoting research of Turkic-Tatar history at the international level. Publications of historical, historiographical and source study content relating to all areas of the study of the history of the Golden Horde and Tatar khanates are reflected in the journal’s pages. The journal is based on the academic concept considering the history of the Golden Horde and Tatar khanates as united world of the “Golden Horde civilization”

Articles are published free of charge
Every journal’s issue is submitted to the Russian State Library, National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan and specialized research institutions as a legal deposit. Part of the circulation is distributed at conferences, forums, round tables, seminars and exhibitions. Following the publication of the latest printed issue of the journal, the Editorial Board dispatches author’s copies. The rest of the circulation is distributed via subscription. The area of distribution: Russian Federation, near and far abroad
