   INTERNATIONAL ONLINE CONFERENCE “THE GREAT ULUS
(GOLDEN HORDE): THE HISTORY OF THE GREAT STEPPE”

The International Online Conference, “The Great Ulus (Golden Horde): The History of the Great Steppe”, dedicated to the 750th anniversary of the founding of the Golden Horde, was held in Nur-Sultan on May 14, 2020. The conference was aimed at strengthening cultural, academic, and educational relations between countries and libraries and the development of international cooperation.
The conference was organized by the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Nur Sultan, the Institute of State History of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The online conference was held on the Zoom.us platform and was broadcast on the social network Facebook. Conference participants noted the importance of studying the Gol­den Horde for modern civilized society, as well as discussing its merits and shortcomings in promoting ideas that meet modern requirements. Today it is necessary to conduct a scholarly analysis of the Golden Horde’s period in history which is an integration topic of modern research. The online conference was attended by scholars, researchers, and experts from Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan and other countries.
